Born and raised in Germany I came to Italy in 1992 to attend
the International Violinmaking School "Antonio Stradivari" in
Cremona where I graduated in 1996. I stayed another four years
in Cremona in order to perfect my skills in classical lutherie
working in some of the most renowned workshops.
Parallel to my classical apprenticeship I have always been
interested in building electric bowed instruments. So, in
1995 the prototype of the
CETVS
electric violin was born and in 2003 the EUB (electric upright
bass).
In the year 2000, after eight years in Cremona the time came
to leave the city of "Stradivarius" and to seek direct contact
with the musicians. So I moved to central Italy (in Abruzzo),
to a small village called Casoli di Atri.
